About CommonAI Compute
We are solving a challenge that exists across organisations developing AI, no matter their size.
The process of procuring cloud infrastructure lacks transparency. It is far too easy to pay for more compute than is required or end up tied to a single, large cloud vendor. Many startups don’t have the funds to hire an IT department to create the right setup and have limited buying power because their compute needs are intermittent, relatively small and bursty.
CommonAI Compute has set out to disrupt this market by giving transparent, more affordable access to cloud vendors globally.
Behind CommonAI is an experienced group of mission-driven investors, entrepreneurs and engineers.
Our founders have been part of teams that have created Cambridge-born successes including lowRISC CIC (stewards of the OpenTitan project), CHERI Alliance and RaspberryPi.
The CommonAI ecosystem
CommonAI Compute is one of three organisations that form the CommonAI ecosystem.
Our common mission is to provide a new backbone for deeptech AI. By enabling collaboration among those on the frontline of development, we can change how they foster innovation, establish competitive advantage through enhanced productivity and access both compute and knowledge.
Each part of CommonAI approaches the same mission with its own platform. Our reach will grow as AI continues to accelerate.
CommonAI Compute was formed alongside CommonAI Community Interest Company, the ecosystem’s membership organisation founded on a belief in collaborative engineering.
