The UK has an opportunity to do better. The UK government has pledged to put billions into AI development and this is nothing to the tens of billions of dollars of private equity money heading our way.
But we know that up to 70% of that spend will go on the compute infrastructure needed to develop AI - and that is heading straight out of the door. The UK needs to recapture that market by delivering the GPUs that our most innovative companies need to grow.
This is why we are disrupting the market for AI infrastructure. Our goal is to make it fairer, more diverse and more accessible - for startups, established enterprises and academia who all need compute and for those cloud vendors that provide it.
CommonAI is a much bigger movement than the sum of its parts. Our Founders have been instrumental in the launch of some of Cambridge’s most pivotal successes, including lowRISC CIC, OpenTitan, CHERI Alliance and RaspberryPi.
We want to build on this foundation to fundamentally change how businesses access cloud computing for AI worldwide. We want to allow AI teams, startups and enterprises to look like virtual BigCos by empowering them with the tools and expertise they need, when they need it.
